The Hancock County Historical Society has several thousands of photographs of the buildings and people in Hancock County.  We have recently started uploading them to our website to make them available for everyone. 

Please be aware that these photos have NOT been edited.  They have not been resized or compressed to make for bandwidth-friendly viewing and/or downloading.  Some may be 20MB in size!  Some may be in formats other than jpeg and can only be viewed with the appropriate software. 

The images are presented in a simple folder structure, without the ability to preview.  Click on a filename to view the image.  You can then right-click on the image and select "Save Image As..." for Firefox or "Save Picture As..." for Internet Explorer. 

If the image does not show because it is in a proprietary format that browsers can't display, you can right-click on the file name and select "Save Link As..." for Firefox or "Save Target As..." for Internet Explorer.

Any of these photos can be ordered as an 8x10 matte or glossy photo, at $10 a piece ($5 for members).  Bulk rates are available.
