On Saturday night a large and appreciative audience witnessed  the comedy, "Married Mashers", at Fireman's Hall.  Mr. Paul Combel; as Mr. Krout, kept the audience in a constant roar of laughter.  His playing is highly praised by all, and his friends now tell him that his fortune is to be made upon the stage.  Mr. Jno. C. Leininger's impersonation of Mr.  Gilhooly the Irishman could have hardly been better.  Miss M. Nenroth made a charming Mrs. Brown and her singing was well received.  Mr. M. L.  Porche took the part of Mr.  Brown with ease and credit.  Miss Jennie Neuroth made a pretty picture as Mrs. Krout.  The other characters did equally well.  The affair wound up in an enjoyable dance.  (SCE/10/22/1892)
