Toulme, Miss Lucy, of Bay St. Louis, was married in a very quiet wedding on Thursday evening, December 14, 1893, to Mr. Samuel Mitchell, of Pearlington. The wedding took place in the parlor of the Crescent Hotel, the home of the bride, Rev. N. B. Harmon, of the Main Street Methodist Church, officiating. Owing to recent deaths of relatives the affair was very quiet and only relatives and intimate friends were present at the ceremony. Miss Toulme is the daughter of Hon. J. V. Toulme, Mayor of this city and proprietor of the big Crescent Hotel, and is a young lady of much grace and culture, her tender and charitable disposition having often been prompted by her kindness to lend her beautiful voice in rendering assistance for the needy of the place. In the choir of her church Miss Toulme has proven herself a shining light and oft times took the most difficult parts with marked success. She has many friends at home and abroad and moves in high society. Mr. Mitchell comes from the busy and lovely town of Pearlington, on the banks of the peaceful and silver river Pearl. He is of a family connected with the best of people of the county and is fully worthy of the fair prize he has won. He is industrious and steady and is well liked where ever known. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell left yesterday morning for Pearlington where they will remain for awhile and return to their home at the Crescent. THE ECHO extends to this bridal pair its choicest of unlimited good wishes and sincerely trusts their path may be one void of the usual thorns that are strewn so liberally in the pathway of life.
