McCorry, Fanny - On last Saturday evening, the 15th, the lovely garden grounds of the Gardebled residence presented a scene of much amusement.  The occasion was a Lawn Party and Minstrel Drama followed with dancing til 2 o'clock Sunday morning.  The minstrel performance was very pleasing and took with people who have seen and understand a good thing.  The lemonade table was presided over by Miss Fanny McCorry who, having sold most, received a silver medal in recognition of her services.  Mrs. A. Basford presided over the ice cream table.  The awarding of a silver medal to the best lady dancer aroused great interest and proved a prominent feature of the evening.  The band furnished plenty and excellent music.  To be brief and to say the least of the affair, we can say it was a big success.  (SCE 7/22/93)
