Murtagh, E., came here fourteen years ago and began business.  He keeps a complete stock of lumber and building materials of all kinds; his lumber is of the very best and if you will take the pains to go through his lumber yard, you will at once be convinced that he carries a stock that warrants him a good trade, and remember also to ask him for his prices as he will not allow them to be discounted in this or other towns.  He is a member of the city Council and he did all one man could possibly do to have the roads put into the excellent condition that they are now found in.  In his carriage business he has two fine carriages and a tally-ho to which excursionists seem to be very partial.
