Dart. H. P. - The residence of Mr. H. P. Dart is only a short distance from Mr. Fairchilds and is situated in a shaded grove of Magnolia trees whose delightful odors are wafted by the breeze from the Bay makes one feel almost as though they were in an enchanted land.  The house like most Southern homes is surrounded by numerous verandahs with wide halls and doors and windows opening in every direction. Having a big lawn all around the house affords plenty of fresh air and when the cooling winds of the Gulf are not blowing in the direction of the house usually the sweet odors of the flowers is wafted in from the rear or sides. For comfort and convenience there is no better place along the Gulf Coast for the house stands quite a distance from its nearest neighbor.  it is just in such a place as this that the tired man of business can get away from the noise and bustle of the city and enjoy that quiet repose so much needed when the scorching rays of a July sun are most felt in the Crescent City.  Mr. Dart is one of New Orleans leading practitioners at law, his offices are located on St. Charles Street, in Teutonia Bank Building.  Photo of home (ATG p 6)
