Evans Pharmacy - Use Lightning Healing Salve. A sure cure for sores, boils and all skin diseases. Try it. For sale at Evans Pharmacy. (SCE 1/28/1893)
Thos. L. Evans is the popular druggist, and his storeroom is headquarters for pure drugs and medicines, and he is a prescriptionist of decided ability. He is a graduate of the famous Tulane University of New Orleans, completing the courses in chemistry and pharmacy, and has a diploma and two certificates. He has now had fifteen years of practical experience in dispensing medicines, and in the five years since he located at Bay St. Louis he has proven his ability to accurately fill prescriptions, and his stock of drugs is always kept fresh and pure, for when he fills a prescription he wants the physician prescribing to be able to expect results, and it is this feature that has aided him so materially in building up such a splendid business enterprise - one that is a credit to his worth and integrity, and one of the best interests of the town.
His drugstore is on the Planchet corner, in size 25 X 60, and it is one of the best equipped, the newest and largest on the coast, and no store enjoys a larger trade than this, for the proprietor is a man whom all are pleased to deal with, upright and honest in all his business dealings, and he keeps a stock that defies competition either in quality, quantity or low prices. The stock is replete with drugs, stationary, cigars, confectionery, perfumes, optical goods and cutlery, and all the goods are of the best on the market.
We have visited many drugstores all over the United States, and we must crown this with woven laurels when the best is asked for. The storeroom is modern in style, finished in the interior in native woods, and as a business it is one of the strongest in the city, and the business yields the palm to none. We can offer no encomiums half as creditable as the immense business enjoyed by Mr. Evans and the esteem in which he and his business of a public is held by other firms of the city.
