Sylvester, Mr. Wm. O., and Miss Adonia Speers, both of this city, were united in wedlock on Wednesday morning by Rev. N. B. Harmon. The couple have the brightest prospects for a future of much happiness, this being the wish of their many friends. Taconi, Miss Camille, and Mr. Bribgaenti Lladbrando, of Bay St. Louis were married on January 10, 1893, at the Catholic church. The bridesmaid was Miss Ellinora Vasalie, and the groomsman was Mr. James Taconi. After the ceremony the friends of the young couple were entertained by dancing and an abundant supply of cakes and wine at the disposal of all present. King and Queen Ball, Pass Christian, on Thursday evening last was given at the McIntyre House in this place which proved one of the most pleasant social events of the season. Among those who gracefully figured in the dancing and creditably represented royalty, were Messrs. Sydney Saucier, Frank Huges, R. McIntosh, Jr., Chas. Taconi, Charles P. - Giveans, Mr. and Mrs. S. S., on Sunday morning christened their infant son at the church of Our Lady of the Gulf, and was given the names of Charles Roger. Mr. Charles P. Taconi and Miss Nicaise were sponsors. In the evening a number of invited guests assembled at the Giveans' residence and celebrated the event in a pleasant manner and tempting refreshments and cakes served at frequent intervals. I, Charles Peter Taconi, a male person over the age of twenty one years and a resident of said city, do hereby apply your honorable body to grant me a license in my name to sell quantities of one gallon or more, vinous, alcoholic malt intoxicating of spirituous liquor at the corner of Front and Main streets, in said city, upon my compliance with the laws in reference thereto. Taconi, Charles P. - At a special meeting of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, held Wednesday night, Mr. Chas. P. Taconi was granted privileges to secure a license to sell spirituous and vinous liquors, having a majority of two signatures to his petition. The petition was published in The Echo and serves as a thorough test of all doubts to be shattered as to the legality of such petitions advertised in its columns. (SCE 10/14/1893)

Taconi, Frank - Mr. August Keller, one of the most progressive and wide awake merchants of the Bay, almost immediately after losing his mammoth "BLUE STORE", last Saturday, went to work with vim and determination and rented the store building opposite and owned by Mr.
Frank Taconi and opened the "RED STORE" Thursday morning. Mr. Keller will have erected at once a magnificent new store building of brick on the site of the old "BLUE STORE". There are few towns that can boast of such deserving and energetic business men like that of his kind. (SCE, 2/24/1894)

Taconi, Mr., and Messers. Becker, Giveans, and Capdepon, who left this place in the latter part of last September for Carthagena, S. A., and for whose safety great anxiety was felt, have arrived safely home, we are glad to note. A letter was received here last Monday in which the safe arrival was mentioned, and the cause of such delay in communicating was due to the vessel being blown out of its course. The supplies gave out and the crew suffered considerable hardship. (SCE 12-9-1893)
