Scovel, Jack C.  -  December 3, 1999

Jack C. Scovel, 77, of Kiln, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, in Gulfport.

Mr. Scovel, a native of Des Moines, Iowa, and a Gulf Coast resident for 19 years, was a retired butcher with Ames Packing Company and was a Protestant.

Mr. Scovel was preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. Scovel; two brothers, John B. Scovel and Elmer Louis Scovel; and a sister, Sylvia Irene Williams.

Survivors include a son, Russell Roy Scovel of Washington; three daughters, Carol Ann Brown of Gulfport, Mona Lisa Howell and Mary Scovel Jr., both of Iowa; two brothers, Frank Joseph Scovel and Raymond Gene Scovel, both of Iowa; two sisters, Bessie Bernice Conrad and Colleen Thomas, both of Iowa; grandchildren Jackie Lynn Pyle, Chub Earl Brown , both of Gulfport; and six grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport was in charge of arrangements.
