Currell, Victoria Villars  -  July 30, 1894

Mrs. J. T. Villars, nee Victoria Currell, died in New Orleans Monday morning at an early hour, aged 56. Mrs. Villars was well known in Bay St. Louis, having resided here until a year or two ago when with her family she moved to New Orleans. The big and well-known "Villars Villa" was owned and managed by her until destroyed by fire in the fall 1891. Mrs. Villars came from French parents of high financial and social standing and was wide and favorably known. The deceased leaves two daughters, Misses Stella and Eda, and two sons, Messrs. Ferdinand and Chalmette, the latter residing in this city with his family. The funeral took place from the Jesuits' church Tuesday morning in New Orleans.
