Erskine, Helen Favre - July 31, 1993
Helen Favre Erskine, 79, of Lakeshore died Saturday, July 31, 1993 in Slidell, La.
Mrs. Erskine was a native of Bay St. Louis and a lifelong resident of Hancock County. She had been a resident of Lakeshore for the past 59 years, where she was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Joseph and Natalie Luc Favre; her husband, John Lyon Erskine; and two brothers, Irvin Favre and Chester Favre.
Survivors include a son, John L. Erskin Jr. of Lakeshore; two daughters, Joanne Erskine Colson of Waveland and Linda E. Curet of Lakeshore; four sisters, Annabell Fayard of Bay St. Louis, Natalie F. Garcia of Lakeshore, Catherine Capdepon of Houston, Texas, and Audrey Geoffrey Kelley of Orlando, Fla; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. until midnight at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, with recitation of the rosary at 8 p.m. A procession will leave the funeral home Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. to go to St. John's Catholic Church in Lakeshore for Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Lakeshore Cemetery.
