Dickinson, Albert Oscar Jr. - June 16, 2000
Albert Oscar Dickinson Jr., 75, died Friday, June 16, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mr. Dickinson was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Waveland. He was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland, the American Legion Post 77 in Waveland and the VFW Post.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Oscar Dickinson Sr. and Mae Bankston Dickinson.
Survivors include his wife, Leola Ernst Dickinson of Waveland; six sons, Albert Dickinson III of Chalmette, LA, Louis Dickinson of Slidell, Samuel Dickinson of Harvey, LA, Dennis Dickinson, Richard Dickinson and Douglas Dickinson, all of Waveland; three daughters, Charlotte Dickinson of Boston, Virginia Thornton of Kirkland, WA, and Charlene Gandy of Bay St. Louis; two sisters, Ethel Kennedy and Patricia Dickinson, both of Slidell; and 16 grandchildren.
A service will be at 8 tonight at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. A private interment will be held at a later date.
