Ziegler, Joseph C. Sr. - July 17, 2000
Joseph C. Ziegler Sr., 80, of Bay St. Louis, died Monday, July 17, 2000, in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Ziegler was born in Bay St. Louis and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a U.S. Army Medical Corps veteran of World War II. He was retired from Jay-Jay Chevrolet in Gulfport. He was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis and the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Genevieve Fayard Ziegler.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph C. Ziegler Jr, and his wife, Connie of Bay St. Louis, and James E. Ziegler and his wife Gwen of Lafayette, LA; two sisters, Gwen Taconi of Bay St. Louis and Leontine Washer of Biloxi; and four grandchildren, Joseph C. Ziegler III of Gulfport, Scott D. Ziegler of Starkville, Karen R. Ziegler of Tuscaloosa, AL, and David Ziegler of Lafayette, LA.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport with the Rosary Service at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
