Glass, John R. Sr. - July 21, 2000
John R. Glass Sr., 79, died Friday, July 21, 2000, in Waveland.
Mr. Glass was born in Morris, AL. He was a former resident of Attalla, AL, and had been a resident of Waveland for six years. He was a life member of Masonic Lodge No. 383 in Attalla and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Attalla. He was chosen Big Brother of the year for 1988 for the Big Brother/Little Brother Program.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Charlton and Bertha Holcombe Glass.
Survivors include his wife, Junie H. Glass of Waveland; a son, Richard Glass of Paducah, KY; a daughter, Leah G. Andressen of Belle Chasse, LA; a half-sister, Onzell Grell of Calera, AL; and four grandchildren.
Private services will be held. Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
