Otis, Henry L. - September 2, 2000
Henry L. Otis, 80, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, in Diamondhead.
Mr. Otis was a native of Logtown and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was the former circuit clerk of Hancock County and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waveland.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Otis; a daughter, Betty G. Coburn; his parents, Lamar and Betty Weston Otis, and a sister, Minnie Otis.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby G. Otis of Bay St. Louis; three daughters, Carolyn Snyder of Hattiesburg, Myrtle Olson of Bay St. Louis and Jennifer Otis of Waveland; a sister, Mildred O. Fountain of McComb, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis where friends may call two hours before service time. Burial will be in Logtown Cemetery.
