Diket, Earl Joseph "Chopsley" Jr.  -  September 3, 2000

Earl Joseph "Chopsley" Diket Jr., 55, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, in Bay St. Louis.

Mr. Diket was a native of New Orleans and had been a resident of Bay St. Louis for the past nine years. He was a self-employed welder and was a Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Joseph Diket Sr. and Muriel Abram Diket.

Survivors include two sons, Earl Joseph Diket III of New Orleans and Donnie Martin Diket of Bay St. Louis; two daughters, Kim Diket West of Mereaux, LA, and Rose Diket Griffin of Alabama; a brother, Johnn Diket of New Orleans; a sister, Dee Pomez of Chalmette, LA; and 14 grandchildren.

A service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel in Bay St. Louis where friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bay St. Louis.
