Williams, Leroy A. - September 7, 2000
Leroy A. Williams, 78, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, in Opelousas, LA.
Mr. Williams was a native of Lakeshore and was a resident of Bay St. Louis. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Waveland and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Morris Williams; his parents, Jacob J. and Jessie Moran Williams; and a brother, Isac C. Williams.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Frank Williams of Pearl River, LA; eight daughters, Kathryn LaFleur and Sharon Netto, both of Opelousas, Jessie Berger of Pearl River, Lynette Green of Lakeshore, Jenell Andrews of Pasadena, TX, Theresa Williams of Slidell, Glenda Butler of Vancleave and Amy Truesdale of Picayune; a sister, Beatrice Ladner of Bay St. Louis; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 10 tonight at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with burial in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bay St. Louis.
