Walton, William Taylor III - September 17, 2000
William Taylor "Terry" Walton III, 62, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mr. Walton was a native of Rockford, IL, and a resident of Roseburg. He was a former resident of Atlanta and a resident of Diamondhead from 1979 to 1990. He attended Marquette University in Wisconsin and was an Air Force veteran. He was employed with Alcan Cable as a mechanical engineer for 39 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Roseburg Rod and Gun Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church is Roseburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Taylor Walton II and Margot Barbor Walton; a brother, Christopher Walton; and two sisters, Elizabeth Walton and Cairns Walton Cremer.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret "Peg" Boland Walton of Roseburg; a son, Thomas Michael Walton of Bay St. Louis; a daughter, Jennifer Walton Handshoe of Gulfport; a brother, Peter Walton of Eden Prairie, MN; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis with recitation of the rosary at 7:30. A procession will leave the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday for a 10:30 service at Annunciation Catholic Church in Kiln. Burial will be private.
