Cox, Laurice Vincent - October 25, 2000
Laurice Vincent Cox, 78, died Wednesday, Oct 25, 2000, in Waveland.
Mr. Cox was a native of Bristle, SD, and had lived in Waveland for 16 years. He was a member of St. Clare's Catholic Church in Waveland. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Merchant Marine with Masters, Mates & Pilots Health Union for 39 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Onslow and Clara Alice Griswold Cox; two brothers, Donald and Ronald Cox; and a sister, Arleen Cox Lang.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Aquirre Cox of Waveland; two sons, Richard Cox of Tampa and Charles Cox of Waveland; four daughters, Linda Cox of Athens, GA, Penny Cox of Starkville, Patricia Cox and Melissa Cox, both of Waveland; two brothers, Derald Cox of California and Jerald Cox of Albuquerque, NM; and two sisters, Wilma Cox of Wessington Springs, SD, and Erma Cox of Minneapolis, MN.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bat St. Louis where friends may call three hours before service time. Burial will be in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum in Bay St. Louis.
