Davis, Joyce Marie - October 31, 2000
Joyce Marie Davis, 72, died Tuesday, Oct 31, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Davis was a native of New Orleans and was a resident of Waveland since 1993. She was of the Catholic Faith and a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland. She was a member of the St. Clare Ladies Sodality and a volunteer at the St. Clare School Library.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gem Davis Jr.; parents, Rahm and Lillian Durel Darenne; and three sisters, Dorothy Darsan, Joan Rainey and Shirley Jamison.
Survivors include her two sons, Russell Davis of Concord, Calif.; Rahm Davis of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; daughter,Ruth Davis of Lodi, Calif; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. A service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland where friends may call two hours prior to service time. A graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Louis Cemetery III, in New Orleans. The family prefers memorials to be made to St. Clare Catholic School Library, 236 South Beach Blvd., Waveland, MS 39576
