Jewel Whitcomb, 84 of Diamondhead, MS, died on Friday, October 14, 2005, her 84th birthday.
She was born in Summerfield, LA and was a resident of Diamondhead for the last 8 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dixie Goocher, four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Whitney; sister, Mae Hayes; grandchildren, Stephanie Guthre and husband Doug, and Elizabeth Holman and husband David; and great-grandchildren, Houston and Lauren Holman.
Visitations were held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2005 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel in Shreveport, LA.Graveside services for her were held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2005 at Summerfield Baptist Church Cemetery, Summerfield, LA.
