Oneto-Sikorski, Robert Charles  -  October 31, 2005

ONETO-SIKORSKI 1st Lt. Robert Charles Oneto-Sikorski, age 33, Company C 1/155th Infantry (Mechanized), 155th Brigade Combat Team, Mississippi Army National Guard, & Mechanical Engineer, employee of Northrup Grumman's Ingall's Shipyard, engineering department, was killed Monday, October 31, 2005 in Iraq and delivered into His loving Heavenly Father's arms to hear His angels wings. Robert was born September 1, 1972, in New Orleans, LA, but has called Bay St. Louis, MS, his home for the last 21 years. He is survived and mourned by his wife, Kristine Seamans Sikorski, of Biloxi, MS; his devastated parents, Elaine Marie Oneto, formerly of New Orleans, LA, now of Bay St. Louis, MS, Robert Charles Sikorski, formerly of Grand Rapids, MI, now residing in Vancleave, MS; his beloved children, Robert Charles Sikorski II, Patrick Rager and Hannah Rager all of Bay St. Louis, MS; and Clare Rager, beloved mother of his children, also from Bay St. Louis, MS. Also left behind to mourn their loss are his sister and brother-in-law, Shawn and Bart Durfey of South Charleston, Ohio, and their daughter, Heather; his sister Kathleen Sherlock of New Orleans, LA; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, Emile ""Rick'' Richard Oneto Jr. and Barbara Glascow Oneto of Katy, TX; Eloise Oneto Kindja and Charles Kindja of Diamondhead, MS, and their children Lisa Kindja Goodwin and Greg Goodwin of Ripon, CA; Dr. Pamela Kindja Ladner and Curtis Ladner of Lumberton, MS and their children, Casey Ladner McInnis and Brittney Ladner; Deborah Kindja Crochet and Lawrence Crochet and their children, Jessica and Allison of Luling, LA; Linda Sikorski Patchak and David Patchak of Shelbyville, MI and their two children, Marilyn Sikorski Mutchler and Arthur Mutchler of Rockford, MI, and their four children, Sherry Sikorski Shearer and Russell Shearer of Grand Rapids, MI, and their two children, Bill Sikorski of Sparta, MI and his son. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Thelma Madere Oneto and Emile Richard Oneto, Sr. of Bay St. Louis, MS and Marie Sikorsi and Casimere Sikorski of Grand Rapids, MI and his brother, DeVerne Roy Hurlbert Jr. of New Orleans, LA. All friends of Robert, members of the Army National Guard, other members of the military, employees of Hancock Medical Center and employees of Northrop Grumman Ingall's Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS, especially of the engineering department are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home, Highway 49 North, Gulfport, MS, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Van Bolden of Shiloh Baptist Church in Saucier officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. In lieu of flowers, his mother requests that donations be made to the Christian charity of one's choice, dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world, especially in Muslim countries, so that all men can be truly free.
