Diliberto, Alvin - November 8, 2005
Alvin Diliberto, 81 of Waveland, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center of Lafayette, LA.
He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sidney Diliberto, Sr. and Genevieve Moynan Diliberto; brother, Henry Sidney Diliberto, Jr.; sister, Rita Mae Diliberto Janata; first wife, Lillian Beer Diliberto; second wife, Elba Acevedo Diliberto.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Harris Diliberto; sons: David Alvin Diliberto and wife, Dianne Trapani Diliberto; and Juan Louis Diliberto and wife, Claudia Lizana Diliberto; daughter-in-law, Linda Palm Diliberto; brother, Jack Gerald Diliberto and wife, Peggy Forester Diliberto; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 12, 2005, at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Metairie, LA. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery on Airline Drive in Matairie. Donations to the American Heart Association are preferred.
Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas is in charge of arrangements.
