Thermon Ray Cuevas, 72, of Kiln died Wednesday, November 11, 2005 in Kiln.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Hancock County and retired from Yellow Truck Freight Lines. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post #58.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ladner Cuevas; parents, Oliver and Nollie Cuevas; 3 brothers: Harmon, Clarence, and Lloyd Cuevas; 1 sister: Vaudie King; 3 children: Dwayne Ladner, Pam Malley, and Vanessa Ladner.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Cuevas, Kiln; children: Randy (Bev) Cuevas, Dallas, TX, Tammy (Donnie) Haas, Kiln, La Risa (Roy) Fullerton, and Deron Cuevas, both of the Standard Community; son-in-law: Steve Malley, Dedeaux Community; 7 grandchildren: Josh Cuevas, Kaleb Cuevas, Dana Has, Maeson Fullerton, Michael Hoda, Davin Blackmon, and Deanna Ladner; 4 great-grandchildren: Cladrian Blackmon, Brogan Blackmon, Alexis Ladner, and Kaley Ladner.

Visitation will be Friday, November 13, 2005 from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, Kiln, MS. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the church. Interment will be in the Standard Sandhill Cemetery.
