Gardebled, Nevette A. - November 14, 1979
Funeral services will be held Monday for Nevette A. Gardebled, a retired United States Coast Guard warrant officer who died Wednesday night at Southern Baptist Hospital. He was 70.
Services are scheduled for 2:30 P. M. Monday at P. J. McMahon and Sons Funeral Home, 4800 Canal St. Interment will follow will follow at Cypress Grove Cemetery, 120 City Park Ave.
A native of Bay St. Louis, MS [b. 8-01-1909], Mr. Gardebled served as a building inspector in New Orleans following his retirement from the Coast Guard. He organized and served as first president of the New Orleans District Coast Guard Warrant Officers Association and was involved with other civic clubs including Delta React and the VHF and MTA Civil Defense Clubs.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Hare Gardebled; one daughter, Miss Joan Elizabeth Gardebled; one son, Michael Hare Gardebled; four sisters, Mrs. Lois Ard, Mrs. Irma Bolen, Mrs. Thais Knowles, and Mrs. Eula Lucia; and two grandchildren.
