Ladner, Benjamin G.  -  October 3, 1999

Benjamin Garfield Ladner, 20, of Waveland, died Friday, Oct 3, 1999, in New Orleans.

He was a native of Bay St. Louis and a longtime resident of Waveland. He was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland. He was a 1998 graaduate of Bay High School and a member of the 1999 United States Coast Guard Radar School and was to be stationed at Charleston, S. C., on the USS Dallas.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward Lee; and his great-grandparents, Lottie Bourgeois Ladner and Mayor Garfield Ladner, Frank and Nelphia Broome Lee, Boliver and Effie Purdey McDonnell and Asa and Alice Schindler Peterson.

He was the son of Carl S. and Edwina Lee Ladner Jr. Of Waveland; brother, Zachary Daniel Ladner of Waveland; paternal grandmother, Joyce Peterson Ladner of Gulfport; paternal grandfather, Carl S. Ladner Sr. Of Bay St. Louis; and maternal grandmother, Addie Geneva Lee ofWaveland.

Visitation was Tuesday at Edmond Fahey Funerl Home on Bay St. Louis. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday at St. Clare Catholic Church. Interment followed in Lakeshore Cemetery with full military honors.
