Country music performer calls Bay St. Louis home

Danny Roy Perniciaro, a Bay St. Louis native, is making a name for himself in the country music industry.
Using the stage name Danny Roy, he has already recorded one album,?Perfect Combination?, and a video by the same name.
Next week in Nashville he will record another album and a video named ?A Hurt I Used to Know.?
Danny Roy writes and sings his own original hits. His talents also include playing the guitar and fiddle. Tommy Dee of T.N.T. Productions of Nashville, Tennessee, is his producer and JoAnn Levell is his executive producer.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Perniciaro Sr., he has been in the music business for the last 20 years. He graduated from

Bay Senior High School in 1968.
In the 1970s, he played in a band named Corruption with local musician Pat Murphy.

traveled throughout the west. He recently returned to Bay St. Louis from a stay in Texas.
He spends ten months of the year on the road, but still calls Bay St. Louis his home.
On the inside jacket of his cassette, ?Perfect Combination?, it reads, ?Danny Roy was exposed to country music at an early age. Born in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Danny?s daddy played country music records by Hank Williams, Jimmy Rogers, and Ernest Tubb.
?This made a big impression on Danny. While still in high school Danny made up his mind ?>that he would make his living ?J playing and singing country music. Music has been Danny?s life work ever since.?
He said, ?In the future, I plan to do more recordings and videos. I hope to have many hit records.?
