Mrs. Mosely to be honored
BY ELLIS C. CUEVAS
Nationally-acclaimed folk artist Alice Latimer Mosely, of Bay St. Louis, will be honored Saturday by members of the Bay St. Louis Downtown Merchants Association, Casino Magic, and other concerend citizens who have formed the Art
for Health Committee.	%
The Art for Health Gala event will be held at 7 p.m at Our Lady of the Gulf Parish Community Center, South Beach Boulevard, Bay St. Louis.
The event benefits county-owned Hancock Medical Center, which is planning a $4.5 million expansion for women?s and children?s services.
?It is fitting that the pediatric waiting room be named in Mrs. Moseley?s honor, since much of her life has been spent teaching children,? said Catherine Green, Casino Magic community relations director.
Her interest in painting began as a source of therapy for her mother who had developed Alzheimer?s disease. She then realized that she had a raw talent that was a gift from God.
Cost for the event is $25 general admission. The evening includes music, hors d?oeuvres, an open bar and a silent auction. Dress for the evening is cocktail attire. Sponsorships of $100, $300 and $500 are available for individuals or groups.
For tickets or information, contact Catherine Green at 467-9257, ext. 8053, Carole Bianco at 466-6337 or Janet McQueen at 466-3391.	j
