THE SEA SHORE
The "season11 on the Lake Shore is nearly at a close, and many of our pleasure-seeking citizens have returned, or are preparing to return from moonlight excusions on the glimmering waters, or pleasant strolls under the shadow of the pine trees, to the dull realities of the city. But it was a pleasant season, all things considered, and never before did more beauty and fashion assemble at our delightful watering-places.
Pasjs' Christian
At Pass Christian the visitors had quite a merry time, every species of amusement having been tried to lend golden wings to the feet of old Time, the true Mercury, who is rarely as charming as when he steals our hours away.
The hotel enjoyed a brisk business, and the private residents were seldom before so crowded by the searchers after health and pleasure.
Bay St. Louis
Bay Saint Louis could boast of its usual number at least. Ocean Springs
Ocean Springs was handsomely patronized.
Biloxi had no reason to	tough the majority of the
habitues of the last mentioned place aid not remain in the town itself, but pushed backward into the woods and took up their quarters at the bregz^a^ well conducted establishment of our fximkix^ friend Q^ates/ijust far enough from the fierce glare of the sun, and jlJslrTTgar enough to the bathing houses, to appreciate the rus in urbe sort of existence which is most desirable at a watering place.
Women En.ioved Horseback Riding
A contemporary has remarked that more female equestriennes turned out at the various summer resorts this season than vere usually seen in other hears, and he has stated a very agreeable fact, which speaks well for the social progress of the South.
