Pass Christian Isles are the beginning of Harrison County when entered from the West and travelling East toward the towns of Pass Christian, Long Beach, Gulfport, etc.
Henderson Point was named for a colorful and interesting character. His name was John Henderson. He owned large tracts of land including Henderson Point and served Harrison County as State Senator. He donated the land on which Trinity Church stands as well as Live Oak Cemetery. He had a son named Elliott Henderson who married Fannie Hewes. Elliott died in 1913 at age 80. He gave all the lands in the estate to his wife's nephews, the Hewes Brothers of Gulfport. The Hewes Brothers in 1925 sold some of the property to a development company. The land was drained, sub-divided and is now called Pass Christian Isles. Jokn Henderson's land holdings also included Beauvoir. (add Beauvoir pages)
