TOUR CANCELLATION—This Creole cottage located at 341 Main St., Bay St. Louis and owned by Dr. Larry Heller and Mr. Lawrence Timmerman is listed in the brochure for the Thursday, March 27 Bay St. Louis Tour of the 1986 Spring Pilgrimage sponsored by Mississippi Gulf Coast Council of Garden Clubs. However, this stop, No. 8 on the program has been cancelled from this year’s event but is scheduled for the 1987 tour, according to Pilgrimage officials. The cottage is one of four—two on each side of Main
Street—which were built in the 1840s with two rooms side-by-side and front and rear galleries. The present owners have restored and furnished this cottage as near to the original as possible. General chairman of the Pilgrimage is Mrs. Clarence A. Evans of Waveland. Chairmen of the Bay St. Louis Tour co-sponsored by the Bay-Waveland Garden Club are Mrs. Paul A. Pursley of Bay St. Louis and Mrs. Spurgeon C. Crosby of Waveland. (Bay-Waveland Garden Club photo)
