33 IT KNOWN John McKenna has faithfully followed through to
completion the projects as outlined and recorded by the Organizing Committee and that in October of 1976 the Hancock
County Bay-Waveland Bicentennial Commission completed the
standards of excellency as outlined and required by the
National Bicentennial Committee and received the official
Bicentennial emblem which now fljes together with our National
Tanner on the Hancock County Court House lawn, the grounds of
Waveland's City Hall and the Bay St. Louis City Hall.

Education	Historic	films	were	shown	in the several
local schools through the courtesy of Hrs. Richard 0. ('Margaret ^ Shadoin.
Essay Contests were encouraged with a Hancock County winner through the courtesy of i-.rs. Rene (Emily) de Montluzin.
Educational information on historic events was published weekly in the Sea Coast Echo through the courtesy of Ed Hall, publisher.
Television and radio appearances of events covering 7lar Day,. Constitution Week, anniversary dates of historic occasions were made courtesy of WLOX, l-JC-CH, WPUP and WDSU.
Upon completion of a Tour of the New England States made by your PRO in Hay a series of articles of Bicentennial interest appeared in the Soa Coast Echo.
