Historic Preservation:
The P.R.O. called upon heads of the Merchants, rulf and Hancock Banks, and received an enthusiastic response to a request for a small safety deposit box free of charge for 100 years, box to b£ opened July in the year 2076. These boxes to contain materials felt to be of historic significance to our posterity. The naterials selected to be under the .guidance and direction of a committee named and headed by the President of the Hancock County Historic Society. Guide lines for the use of the Rank Boxes to be set up by the Historic Preservation Committee and published as a matter of public interest.
Coastal
Par t i c i pa t i on:
The P.R.O. and Chairman of the Hancock County Bicentennial Commission attended all.meetings called by the Coast-wide '■'icentennial Committee. These meetings included participation in Contest plans, Activities in Greater G-ulf coast Art, •Saenger Theater Restoration, Herald-Sun ...icentennial publicity and promotion, Heesler Airfor.ee Rase Open House’and other activities.
Cemeteries Pec^y Gibbens and Mrs. Boudreaux spearhead cemetery restoration and improvement projects and through the Hancock Historic Society are in process of recording data from several cemeteries within the county. This Committee is also responsible for -rrave decorations on appropriate occasions. They have devoted endless hours to this important work.

their signatures and official seal. It is requested
this report in its entirety be filed as a part of the minutes
of the Board of Supervisors, the City of Ray St. .Louis, and
the City of vlaveland at their next regular meeting.
