by the Board were approved. The coixunlc at ion of George Holllan was read and received and ordered filed.
The petition of the majority of the legal voters of the City that a license to retail In less quantities than a gallon be given G-.A.Iaix was received, order filed and publication orderod according to law for thirty days.'
The motio of Aid. Robira to abolish the Finance Cocr.ittee, offered at the

preceding regular meeting was called up and duly submitted to thw Board, and on tho question of adoption Aid. Toulne and Robira voted Aye and Aid. Ladner and Shropshire voted Mo. The Mayor voted Aye—and declared the notion lost from not being 2 /3 vote. The following Resolution wad offered by aid. £hrops3.1re, to-witxM whwreas the Honorable, tho Supreme Court of Mississippi declared that It In not clear/$$.% by the Charter of Bay St. ^ouls that Criminal poirer was Interred to be conferred except such as was necessary to ensure obedience to those regulations in regard to health.
