Old Opera was destroyed (next to Merchants Bank)
1925 PICKWICK HOTEL — destroyed in 1907 -fire date It was a resort with buildings and cottage all down what is now Court St. The yellow house across -from city hall is the only cottage le-ft ■from this hotel . The pier went under the train bridge out into the water .
Fire did not get Merchants bank but all other buildings on the way to ssc. Merchants bank built in 1879
COURT STREET STATION, WAS GAS STATION OWNED BY ARCENEAUX FAMILY, NOW A RESTAURANT
BEACH ANTIQUE MALL & FLEA MARKET: (DELPH'S DEPT.STORE) Thomas Shields camp site existed where this stands today Bay St. Louis was called Shie1dsborough because this site was where Admiral Shields received his mail . (probably one of the -few receiving mail)
HANCOCK BANK — 1900
MAGNOLIA ONE—IN 1984 THIS WAS THE SITE OF BOURGEOIS GROCERY WHICH BURNED IN 1917 FIRE. IN 1917 A SERVICE STATION WAS BUILT THEN A FAMILY DOLLAR STORE. LOCAL BUSINESSMAN PURHCASED AND RESTORED IT AND NOW HOUSES MANY SPECIALTY SHOPS.
THE 1927 FIRE TOOK BUILDING FROM THIS CORNER DOWN TO RIGHT BEFORE THE A & G THEATRE.
