Is BEAUTIFICATION - - - the beautification of Hancock County - • -with particular emphasis on the beautification of Highway 90, our front door to visitors from all over the world. We would like to Invite YOU to join with the members of the Bay-Waveland Garden Club and help us "do our thing!"
In celebration of Arbor Day and the Bicentennial of our nation, we are planning an extended program of tree-planting 1n our community beginning February 22nd and continuing through the Bicentennial celebration In 1976.
During this time, we hone to plant 200 trees for our nation's 200th
%
birthday along Highway 90. Native trees such as magnolia, live oak, pine, redbud and pear will be planted along with many other flowering shrubs and plants. All this, of course, will be done with the approval and assistance of the Mississippi Highway Department.
Will YOU become a participant 1n this program by planting a tree (or two or three) on your business property where 1t can be seen from the highway?
We sincerely hope you will join us 1n our effort to make our portion
of Highway 90 the "beauty spot" of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
