; Hazeur Named To School Board
Emile Hazeur, Jr. has been j selected to serve for a term of five years on the Bay St. Louis Separate Municipal District i School Board. He will replace I Frank Wheat who rotates from board duties at the beginning of ! March. Serving with Hazeur on the school board are Robert Hamilton, cresident; Howard Adams, William Breland and Thomas Kidd. Kidd, an elected board member by the town of Waveland is the only electee, other members are appointed by the Mayor and City Commissioners.
Hazeur is a native of Bay St. Louis and the father of three children. He graduated from St. Rose de Lima High School In 1945 and attended Xavier University of New Orleans for two years. He completed a three year tour of duty with the United States Air Force, earning a certificate from the Eighth Army School of Electronics and Radar.
He also holds a certificate from the Naval Mine Warfare School at Yorktown, Virginia. He is also a graduate of the Louis- * iana State College of Mortuary i Science. Business experiences j include four years of employ- ^ ment with General Electric at ; Mississippi Test Facility and 1 presently he works as a Qual- \ ity Engineer with Litton In- -j dustries of Pascagoula.	\
School Board duties include setting the policy of the school : system. They have the power _ to hire and fire administrators as well as teachers; the Board also has authority to designate ' what schools will be used in the school system; and they have the power to set the tax millage . rat-e within the school district . up to 25 mills as the maximum .■ rate._________________
