The Hotel thrives and families come over by degrees. At present there is a goodly number, and Lewis has engaged Order's Band for the season. By the by, next Saturday evening (July 12) 'there will be one of those delightful reunions here in the shape of a soiree. So, send along your bachelors.
The Wharf presents an array of fashion. When old Sol goes down, ladies in the last fashion with large straw hats, trimmed with.red. and blue silk—enough*to make a poor fellow fall overboard— nurses with children—love-stricken bachelors spell bound by those straw~hats—sentimental young misses, a -la-.Bloomer, promenade, enjoying the refreshing breeze.
Dark hints and mysterious conversations are on the topic, and Madam Rumor states we are to have a couple of regular Bloomers.

The new boat Chlngarora seems to give satisfaction, and, so far, has made the best run to this place from New Orleans. Having to burn wood in a coal-furnace, it stops her speed very much. We have exciting times and small bets when she and the St.. Charleys leave together; but the Chlngarora takes the "piles."
This is blue Tuesday and why ? because we have no "Delta."
