Workmen put the finishing touches on the new pottery in 1912. The curving gables and cloistered courtyards ofSpanish mission architecture provided models for the design of this concrete structure. The wing at the left houses the two-story new Indian House studio.

The upper level of the north side of Indian House studio, adjacent to the view shown on the left. HCM placed wire fencing on the surface of these walls, from which he hung his personal collection of historic hand tools.
