THE GREAT ROOM
The large den was added to the house. The furnishings are provided by "By Design" of Ocean Springs. The English China Cabinet is an antique piece.
Joey Rice of Ocean Springs is the artist who made the handmade paper wall hangings.When the Ocean Springs library became computerized she took the old cards and made paper and from that she made the wall hangings.
The chandelier is from the old Kreegers store in New Orleans. Carter Church had b^en working for Kreegers at the time the store/yrefurbished and purchased it.
The large oak door and frame are from a parsonage in Scotland and date from the late 17 00's. It was purchased from the Halcyon House on Main Street. The original fixtures were worn out so these old fixtures were purchased.
The doors across the back are the only ones new to the house.
The floor painting on the back porch was done by Janell Rivers and the furniture from Wicker in Wood in Pass Christian.
The marble top chest is owned by Yancy and Carter and will be made into an entertainment center.
Floors are ceramic (on a plywood and concrete base-tile) available from Rudy Jung at Bay Carpet in Waveland.
Screen is Trompe l'oeil.
