were made to rebuild the new structure. In April 1950 the present dwelling was completed. Reverend Peters pastored for more than 15 years before moving to California.
From 1964 to 1968 the church was pastored by the Reverend Jessie L. Trotter. Reverend Trotter was a masterful preacher. He led the church to expand by adding an educational department, dining facilities, fellowship hall and a pastor's study.
The Reverend Harvey Leggett of Slidell, Louisiana was elected as the next pastor. Reverend Leggett was very versatile, in that he could perform equally as well directing a choir, or playing an organ as well as he could preach. During his pastorage the Baptistery was completed. Reverend Leggett served until June 1970, at which time he move to Detroit, Michigan.
On September 30, 1970, our present pastor, Reverend Lawrence Collins, Sr. was elected to serve us. Roverond Collins's leadership is manifested in the growth and stability of the membership of the church which presently stands at 189. He has led the church into full-time worship experiences, activities for the youth, and has established himself as a friend of the community.
The church has more than ten active organizations, including Senior and Junior Mission Auxiliaries involved in home and foreign missions. The church,has three associate pastors - Reverend E. L. Fox, Reverend N. L. Sams, and Reyerend Clarence Sheppard. ,y. The officers are Bro. R. A. Robinson,
Bro. Ledell Terrell, Bro. Clifton Wilkerson, Bro. William Davis, and Bro. C. Richardson.
