ANOTHER DUEL
’■Jallace Wood and J. A. Bachemin, vho have already teen tefore the public through the medium of certain spicy cards referring to each othsr's moral and oersonal characters, left New Orleans this morning, April 15, 187*+, on the eight o’clock Motile train, for the purpose of consummating a hostile meeting, which has teen for sometime in process of arrangement.
Mr. Wood was attended ty Messrs. C. E. Whitney and Joseph Wilson; Mr. Bachemin ty Messrs. J. P. Modtamat and Charles Rammel. Dr. Finney vas the surgeon.
The party disemtarked at Toulme Station, ^0 miles east of New Orleans and seven miles from Bay St. Louis. Bachemin vas shot through the ri~ht thigh at the first fire. The weapons used were dueling pistols, distance 12 paces. Wood was unhurt. Bachemin1 s wound is not dangerous.
All the narties were arrested at Montgomery Station and held in custody for violating the duelling law of Mississippi.
