However, in the Spring of 1956, when services were held every Sunday, the Sunday School became officially organized. At that time Dr. Walter Russo became Superintendent and adult teacher. Mrs. Earl Gates taught the Children's group, with Mrs. W. P. McCutchon serving as her alternate. It became necessary to add an additiori'al Sunday School room, and this was completed in the Fall of 1958. The following served on the 1958 Sunday School Staff:	Dr. W. A. Russo, Superintendent; Mrs. Muriel B. Fisher,
Adult Teacher; Rev. E. Morren and Mrs. W. P. McCutchon, alternating as teachers of the Teenage group; and Mrs. Camille Schaefer, Primary Teacher. The Men of the Church became organized on October 27, 1958. The following officers were elected:	Mr.	S. Kepner, Chairman; Mr. H. L. Gustine, Vice-
Chairman; and Mr. A. Anker, Secretary-Treasurer. This group initiated the thereafter annual church picnic, first held on Saturday, July 11, 1959, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stevens in Pearlington. Dr. Walter C. Russo was in charge of arrangements.
Meanwhile, March 31, 1957, was a very important date, forit was then that this Presbyterian Mission became the First Presbyterian Church of Bay St. Louis. The Commission of the Meridian Presbytery, consisting of four rulin elders and four ministers, conducted the service. The ministers were Rev. Beckman, Jr.; Dr. Norton Smith, Professor of Bible at Belhaven College Dr. G. T. Preer, Student Minister at Mississippi Southern College; and the Rev. Edward Morren, Pastor. The Ruling Elders were Messrs. H. B. Barber,
D.	A. McCandliss, Paul L. Wright, Jr., and W. L. Rigby. The following thirty-one worshipers became charter members:	Mrs. Charlotte Burns,
Mrs. A. J. Butz, Colonel and Mrs. P. S. Finn, Jr., the daughter of Col. and Mrs. Finn, Miss Sybil Koeniger, Mrs. George Marshall, Mr. and Mrs.
John Middleton, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. McCutchon, Miss Laura O'Leary, Miss Betty Ann McCutchon, Bill McCutchon, Bob McCutchon, Earl F. Gates, Mrs. Whitney L. Pinnell, Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Reboul, Mr. and Mrs. Christian L.
