situated on these grounds. Renovation began immediately and upon completion of this work, Dr. and Mrs. Lindsey moved in. Within a few weeks' time, they were given an "old-fashioned house warming" by the Women of the Church.
On August 9, 1961, the congregation--was saddened by the passing of
Mrs. Anne McCutchon, wife of Mr. W. P. McCutchon. The Session on August 14,
1961, passed a resolution which read, in part:
"Mrs. McCutchon was a wife, mother, daughter and	sister of high
character. We think of her as one of the 'Elect	Ladies'. She
was an active and inspiring member of the church	- always ready
to do her share of the Lord's work, and would have become the President of the Women of the Church on October 1st. The family, the church, and the community have lost a great Christian, a loyal friend, and a citizen of good works. It was a blessing to have her in our midst. ... May the heritage of her faith become the increasing treasure of the family, and the inspiration of the church.
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. God bless her memory."
Upon her passing, many of Mrs. McCutchon's friends,	knowing of her interest
in	the new church which was to be constructed soon,	sent contributions	to	the
Memorial Fund which had been established the year before. As a result, the beautiful stained-glass cathedral window behind the altar was dedicated to her memory. A beautiful communion table, a Celtic cross and two vases of polished brass were presented by the Women of the Church in her honor.
Mr. and Mrs. Wood donated two brass collection plates to complete the set, and a Bible for the altar was given by the five sisters of the Zimmerman family. All of these items are still in use.
At the beginning of the year, 1961, arrangements had been made to apply for a grant from the Home Missions Board of the Presbytery, and, in due time,
