1899:
Hancock County Bank founded in 1899
1900:	Hancock Bank Board of Directors purchased property on the corner of Beach
Blvd. and Main Street and signed a contract with John T. McDonald for $5,100 to construct the first two story building in the town of Bay St. Louis.
The Bank has been a landmark in the City of Bay St. Louis and was the first bank in the county seat of Hancock County.
2005:	The Bay St. Louis Bank building has survived every hurricane that has hit the
Gulf Coast since the early 1900’s but Katrina nearly destroyed it. The first floor was totally ravaged by flood waters and the second floor was ruined because the roof collapsed but the exterior walls were still standing.
A mobile banking unit was brought in as soon as possible so we could continue to offer financial services to the residents and businesses of Old Town Bay St. Louis.
With our commitment to the community of Bay St. Louis and to preserve a major part of the history of Hancock Bank there was no doubt in the minds of our leaders that this building would be restored.
2007:	Re-opening	is	scheduled	for	July	16,	2007.
§ Hancock Bank.
