McLeod Water Park sits on 328 acres of rolling woodlands located within the NASA Buffer Zone surrounding the John C. Stennis Space Center. The park features 70 camp sites, while the park offers a myriad of outdoor recreation.

Buccaneer State Park
Buccaneer State Park is located two miles off Highway 90 in Waveland. The site, also known as Jackson's Ridge, was named in commemoration of the Gulf Coast's colorful past, when Jean Lafitte and other pirates and smugglers sailed its shores. Andrew Jackson used the area as a base of military operations during the Battle of New Orleans in 1814.
In addition to campgrounds, the park features a seasonal water and wading pool, game rooms, tennis and basketball courts, play area, a nature trail and an outdoor amphitheater.
