No horsing around — new arena is serious busin

Hancock County and state leaders weren’t just horsing around for the nearly four years it took to get the Hancock County Multi-purpose Equine and Livestock Arena open to the public.
It took a lot of hard work and creative funding, but the long-awaited facility opened to a capacity crowd last September, kicking off the 1999 Hancock Count Fair.
It was the crowning glory for County Agent Mike Keene and 4-H Assistant Wade Ladner, who had spent hours of planning and hard work for the
