The Hancock County tourism product was once a diamond in the rough. However with just a little polishing and promotion, the world is finding out about the treasures we have for them to behold.
Many fine articles and feature stories have been and are going to be written about this very special area of the Gulf Coast. Tour companies from all over the United States and Europe are sending motor coach loads of "first time visitors” into Hancock County to experience the pure enjoyment of this unique destination.
Why, in just the number of tours of Old Town Bay St. Louis, we have booked and scheduled more than 179 buses for the year 2000.
Casino Magic Bay St. Louis, obviously, could be considered the “kick start” to all that we are ?~rvrdr.*r
today. This 600-plus acre casino and golf resort offers residents and visitors alike an exciting option in casino gaming and entertainment.
Golfing at the Bridges, Arnold Palmer’s signature course, is always in the top numbers of golf rounds recorded on the Gulf Coast and is considered a “must play” to visiting golfers. The resort offers a hotel, RV park, marina, casino, area shopping and dining shuttles and many of its own fine restaurants.
Hancock County is home to NASA's John C. Stennis Space Center, quickly becoming one of, if not soon to be, the top tourist attraction in the state of Mississippi.
NASA's "StenniSphere” reopened Memorial Day weekend of this year with more than doubling their center’s previous size.
Interactive exhibits, virtu-
