Gospel music benefit set for Hancock Food Pantry
By BRENDA HEATHCOCK
A benefit concert by gospel singers from several area churches is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Hancock County Fairgrounds.
Admission for the 7 p.m. event is one can of food per person.
All food collected will benefit the Hancock County Food Pantry which distributes food to needy persons throughout the county.
Organized in May, the Food Pantry has already provided food for nearly 350 persons in Hancock County-
Executive Director Leontine De Rocha said there really is a need for the Food Pantry in Hancock County and donations and benefits such as the gospel singing are the only sources of supplies for the pantry.
