GAINESVILLE TO 00 TO ALGIERS September l-3» 1866
Daily Picayune - September 2, 1866
from Jackson Clarion of August 31»	1866
Says Capt. Octave F. Vallette's	floating	dock,	310	feet in
length and 86 feet in width, and capable of taking in a ship drawing 18 feet of water, constructed at Gainesville, Hancock County, I*iss., is to come over to Algiers this week.
We shall be glad to see the monster on its arrival, and hope it will take in many a Yankee and Britisher, with a few others thrown in, if any there be, of like size.	The	dock	and	its
contents will be a fine sight.
